Photography calendar and online shop

November 2025 | Photography Brand

Moving a curated collection of South Australian bird photography from a private archive into a professional, live ecosystem.

Yoso Studio - Jo & Lana, helped me immensely to open my first Etsy store and publish a product.

I have a full library of photos but was too overwhelmed with options to know where to begin with online products. This decision paralysis stopped me from starting anything at all!

Phase 1: Discovery & intent

The challenge: Establishing a clear direction for a vast photography collection and identifying the most effective platform for a quiet, artist-led launch.

Strategic Guidance: Collaborated on the initial product ideas, moving from broad concepts to a focused 2026 Calendar launch.

Platform Selection: Researched and identified Gelato as the ideal production partner and Etsy as the primary marketplace to ensure a seamless, low-maintenance operational flow.

Phase 2: Visual identity & design

The challenge: Designing a cohesive visual theme that honours the photography without overwhelming it.

The Visual Essence:

  • Calendar Curation: Selected 12 essential bird photographs representing the South Australian landscape.

  • Custom Cover Design: Designed a minimalist, high-impact front cover for the "2026 South Australian Birds" calendar.

  • Store front Identity: Established the visual presence of the Etsy shop, ensuring the branding felt as professional as the art itself.

Results

A fully functional, integrated artist ecosystem where followers can now purchase physical goods.

Deliverable Summary:

  • Integrated Marketplace: Live Etsy shop with global fulfillment via Gelato.

  • 2026 Calendar: Complete design from front cover to monthly layouts.

  • Strategic Roadmap: Advice on expanding the ecosystem into future offerings like planners notebooks and postcards.

“I am very happy with the support I was given throughout and felt my goals and work were valued by both of them (Jo & Lana) the whole way.

I'd encourage anyone to work with Yōso Studio no matter how big or small your project! I would be happy to work with Yōso Studio again.”
